In Flanders Fields........

the poppies grow.
That's the first line of the Poem of the same name by John McCrae. If you want to read it all click on the link.
So Here is my Gorjuss Girl in the midst of the Poppy Field.
This card is for a few challenges.
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes.
Crafty Sentiments - Remembrance Day
Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Lest We Forget.
Daring Cardmakers - A Time to Remember

I used a tutorial From Debbi Glennie to do my Girls hair black as I had never done hair that colour before. Thanks for that. She has loads of tutorials and they are all super. Pop over to have a wee look.

Recipe

2 x 6 by 6 Cards
Joanna Sheen Tartan Paper
Matt Gold Cardstock
Gorjuss Girl Poppies Stamp (Coloured with Promarkers and Paper Pieced Dress.)
Flowers and Leaves Marianne Die Cut.
Coated with Crackle Glaze.
Centre of Poppies Card Candy coloured with black Promarker.
Ribbon from SU.

My poppies are covered in Crackle Glaze and I just couldn't get the pictures of them to come out right but the cracks look like veins in the flowers. It looks really pretty.
Just want to say a big thanks to the Girls over at Ladybug Crafts Ink as I won their first weeks blog hop and my prize is here already so hope to play with at least one of the stamps this weekend.
Off now to chill out for a bit as I have a cold today and what with one thing and another its been a tiring week. I had a bit of a leak from one of the new radiators in the living room and my carpet was very wet so had to get a man to sort it. Sadly I had some 12 x 12 papers sitting on the floor waiting to go in their new storage boxes and they were ruined. Mind you if I hadn't seen they were wet I might still have a silent leak!!!! Grrr!!!!!
Hope you have a great Friday all.

Hazel, this is really gorgeous! I'm sorry about the leak. Unless the papers are now papier mâché I bet you could still use some of them after they dry. But what a horrible thing to have happen.
